In January 2019, Crystal Allard started a new role at the FDA as Director of the Division of Regulatory Science and Informatics (DRSI), in the Office of Science (OS), in the Center for Tobacco Products (CTP). As Crystal’s new role does not intersect with pharma, she has made the decision to step away from her PhUSE activities, as she says, “for now”. On behalf of PhUSE and the PhUSE Collaboration, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Crystal for her collaboration and dedication to PhUSE and the PhUSE Working Groups. Crystal has been instrumental in the success of the PhUSE Working Groups. She has participated on the PhUSE Steering Committee, led multiple Working Groups, and participated in a multitude of projects. Crystal also led a consortium within the FDA to both raise awareness about PhUSE and the PhUSE Working Groups, as well as to coordinate agency participation in PhUSE and the Working Groups. Crystal has also played a critical role in the referencing of PhUSE Working Group artefacts, such as the SDRG and ADRG in regulatory documents. We wish Crystal the best of luck in her new role and thank her for her immeasurable contributions to PhUSE.
