Spring 2019

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2019. It seems like every year I get to the beginning of March and wonder where the first couple of months have gone. Our industry is busy, and in these unsettled times we probably should not be complaining about that and rejoice that helping patients is still a priority. Time disappears into lines of code, team coordination and professional development. Days pass, and sometimes it feels difficult to take the time to catch up with what is going on outside of our personal bubble. The PhUSE newsletter will hopefully help you stay in touch with the world of PhUSE, so please try to make some time to read it. In the words of Ferris Bueller: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Keeping you up to date, in this edition you will find reports from this year’s PhUSE US Connect 2019 conference and the Single Day Events in Bloemfontein and Shanghai. We also have another book review from Sascha Ahrweiler, and put Yanli Chang in the hot seat in our regular Starter for Ten spot. In the News section, find out more about the US CSS and what is new at PhUSE. Lastly, make sure you swing by Kirk’s Korner.

Hopefully you have been enjoying the new electronic format. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to get in touch at communications@phuse.eu.

Happy exploring!
